Bard Cottage delivered a fairy-tale experience, providing good value for money with a cozy and well-equipped room. The location was remote and secluded, perfect for exploring the region, while still being within reach of the Golden Circle and Reykjavik. The staff were attentive and provided helpful tips and solutions.
The bathroom could use some improvement, as the shower was a bit dated with low water pressure.

bard cottage in akranes was even better than our previous stay. the living room and kitchen area were perfect for us, and the hot tub was absolutely amazing for relaxing. the location was ideal for exploring the golden circle and reykjavik. highly recommended!

Great location in a small forest with lake and mountain views. Cosy house with a hot tub on the deck. Wonderful and caring hosts. Good instruction manual.

The bathroom in Bard Cottage was amazing! It had a hot tub and a shower, which made me feel like I was in my own little spa. I also loved that there was a refrigerator and a microwave, so I could store and heat up my snacks easily. The apartment even had a toaster, which was a nice touch. I felt so pampered and comfortable during my stay.
The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the bathroom only had a shower. Personally, I prefer having the option of both a shower and a bath.
